I’m considering using a .COM instead of scodal.tumblr.com but I’m curious how this might affect my current SEO? Anyone have experience here? I’m hoping that I can point my Tumblr to a domain and when people try to access one of the old scodal.tumblr.com pages it will redirect to the appropriate page or post on the .COM instead… basically I don’t want to lose any traffic and I want a smooth transition. If this isn’t possible I will just continue as-is. Can you help me?
I just tried to subscribe to a Tumblr user that started with a -dash and I cannot use the RSS feed because of that -dash. Dashes are cool, but can be limiting. Keep it in mind in case you are hoping to make your blog big time and get lots of RSS subscribers. You are probably selling yourself short by trying to have a ‘cool’ username unfortunately.
